Lucknow: Four students of Arya Kanya Inter College of Police Station Sadar Kotwali in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh went missing on 22 February. They left for school from their home, but neither reached school, nor returned to their home. After this, their family lodged a missing report of the four girl students at the police station Sadar Kotwali.

After a lot of hard work, the police have recovered the four safely from Rishikesh of Uttarakhand. According to the police, the four were angry with their family members and wanted to go around. One of the four girls stole Rs 25,000 from her house and the four did not go to school and went to Rishikesh. The police came to know that the missing four girls are confirmed friends. Three of them study in class 10 and one in class 12th. On February 22, all four left for school from their home, but went missing after not reaching school. The family lodged an FIR on February 22 itself.

Lakhimpur Kheri SP Vijay Dhul formed 6 police teams to investigate the four girls. After interrogating around 500 people and checking around 200 CCTV footage, the police found that before leaving the house, they had learned about the path of Rishikesh from their college friends and acquaintances. Based on the input from the principal and college students, the police sent one of their teams to Muni ki Reti police station area in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, where all four were safely recovered from a hotel.
