Ambikapur: A bus full of nursing students went uncontrolled at Mainpat Kalighat on Monday night at around 11 am. All the students were returning from the Mainpat Kalighat closing program when this painful accident happened. In addition to 41 nursing students in the bus, 4 corporation employees were on board. Due to the high speed, the bus driver lost control and the uncontrolled bus collided with a clash hitting the returning wall on the roadside. In this accident, all the students were injured a lot. Half a dozen girl students were discharged after first aid. 34 girls, including the Demonstrator of Nursing College, boarding the bus, have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. A student named Sarita has been admitted to the ICU.

On receiving information about this incident, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. PS Sisodia, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Singh, Corporation Commissioner Haresh Mandavi, Medical Superintendent of Hospital Dr. SP Kujur, CSP SS Packra and other officials reached the Medical College Hospital. Till late night, the officials present in the hospital took stock of the situation including the injured girl students. There was a state of chaos in the hospital till late night regarding the incident.

As soon as the family members of the girls were informed about the incident, a situation of the collision had become in the hospital. Medical college hospital management had already been alerted. The situation of lethality in making proper medical arrangements was not made, seeing that the doctors of all the departments had a presence in the hospital. In this case, it is being told that the driver was driving the bus at a high speed, which absconded after the accident. On Tuesday afternoon, the people who came to receive the news of the Demonstrator admitted in the Women's Medical Ward of the hospital, created a ruckus by citing lack of proper treatment. All of them said that the whole night had passed, 12 o'clock in the afternoon, X-ray has not been done yet. The injured girls have been left in their hall after the bandage. Talking about this incident then it is believed to be due to high speed.
