Shillong: With 49 new cases of corona infection in Meghalaya, the number of infected people has reached 1,506 in the state on Wednesday. Seventeen personnel of the Border Security Force are also included in the new cases. A health officer has given this information. Director of Health Services Aman War has said that out of the new cases of corona infection, 47 cases have been reported in East Khasi Hills and two in North Garo.

He further said, "Seventeen personnel of the Border Security Force are also among the new infected. According to the director, 9 people were discharged from the hospital after the corona was freed, with which 694 people have been cured so far. So far 6 patients have died due to this fatal infection in the state. He said that 806 patients are currently being treated in Meghalaya.

The East Khasi Hills District has the highest number of 492 patients undergoing treatment while 189 patients are undergoing treatment in the Western Garo Hills District and 95 in Ri-Bhoi. Warr further said, "174 security personnel are present in 492 patients undergoing treatment in East Khasi Hills District. "At the same time, the number of corona patients in India is increasing rapidly. The rising cases of corona infection have once again bounced.
