Chennai: More than 4,900 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Tamil Nadu on Monday, which is a shocking figure. After the arrival of new cases, the total number of cases in the state has increased to more than 1.75 lakh. Apart from this, 70 more patients have died so far. After the death of 70 new patients, the number of dead has now risen to 2,551.

State Health Department has given information about this. On the other hand, in a bulletin issued by the Health Department on Monday, it has been said that the number of cases under treatment has increased to 51,348, which is the highest number till date. After recovering 3,861 patients were discharged from various hospitals so that the total number of patients so far increased to 1,21,776.

4,985 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the state, due to this, now the total cases have reached 1,75,678. It has also come to light that 63 of the patients who lost their lives due to corona infection were also suffering from other diseases. A total of 52,087 samples were tested on Monday, which has increased the number of samples tested so far to 19,84,579. In the new cases that came up, 2,435 cases are from Chennai and its three neighboring districts of Chengalpet, Thiruvallur, and Kanchipuram. The ever-increasing figure is shocking everyone.
