New Delhi: The confrontation between the Central Government and the Supreme Court is continuously increasing. On Thursday (December 15), the Law Minister gave advice to the apex court in Parliament, then on Friday, Chief Justice (CJI) DY Chandrachud gave a blunt answer to the government. CJI said that no case is small. At the same time, on the question of running the court during the winter break, the CJI said that no bench is going to sit during this period.

In fact, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju had advised the Supreme Court on the previous day regarding the cases pending in the courts. The Law Minister said that the government does not want to interfere in the work of the courts, but 5 crore cases are pending in various courts of the country. The government's concern is about those pending cases and about providing justice to the public. The Law Minister also said that the vacancies of judges in the Supreme Court as well as in other High Courts are a matter of concern. The recommendations of good judges do not come to the government.

In fact, the Law Minister said that the Constitution had empowered the government to fill vacancies in the courts. But after 1993 the situation suddenly changed. Kiren Rijiju also took a jibe during the long holidays in the courts. He said that even after so many pending cases, the judges go on long leave. The Law Minister also said that the Supreme Court should hear constitutional matters. One should not get involved in trivial matters.
