Ujjain: A truck and a car collided strongly on Saturday morning near Thana Narwar area of Ujjain, with 12 workers sitting in the train, meanhile 5 died in the accident. They are said to be going to Neemuch. The injured have been admitted to hospital for treatment.
The collision was so strong that the car got damaged completely. While 4 people died on the spot, one succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Seven people are reported to be critically injured. The incident occurred at 4 am. As soon as the incident was reported, police and ambulances rushed to the spot and all were shifted to district hospital in Ujjain with the help of local people. The truck driver escaped since the accident. Police are investigating the incident.
District hospital doctors say all the injured are being treated. Many people have suffered serious injuries. Orthopaedics and surgeons are treating the injured. City Magistrate Ujjain Yogesh says 12 seater car crashed into a truck. Four people died on the spot and some were seriously injured. All these labourers were going from Katni to Neemuch for work and on the way, the tragic incident took place.
