So the IPL is on the way! It is yet another season of endless chatter over dinner tables, news channels flashing cricket news and most of all the smiling faces who cheer and scream among the crowds. IPL Season 11 will be different from past 10, but before that lets take a look at the best moment of the IPL history.

1. Legendary opening pair

Mumbai Indian captain Ricky Ponting and Mumbai Indian Legendary batsmen Sachin Tendulkar during match 10 of the Pepsi Indian Premier League ( IPL) 2013 between The Mumbai Indians and the Delhi Daredevils held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on the 9th April 2013.

2. Gayle storm

Gayle smashed the fastest century in the format, brought off 30 balls; made the highest individual T20 score (175 not out); struck the most sixes by a batsman in a T20 innings (17); helped Royal Challengers Bangalore hit the most sixes for a team in a T20 innings (21).

3. Mumbai “The Champion”

On 21 May 2017, they won their third IPL title by defeating the Rising Pune Supergiant by 1 run in the final. Mumbai Indian is the only team who had won the IPL title for the third time. Mumbai Indian won the 2011 Champions League Twenty20 after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final.

4. The birth of “The Big Show” Glenn Maxwell

Maxwell’s potential in countering blazing fast deliveries was recognized in the very first season of 2010 itself. Maxwell in IPL 7 (2014) score mammoth aggregate of 552 runs in 16 matches with strike rate of 187, including 4 half-century.

5. Brendon McCullum “The King of IPL”

The inaugural season of IPL witnessed the best of starts. McCullum attacked every ball from the RCB. Opening the innings for KKR, the wicket-keeper batsman scored an unbeaten 158 off just 73 balls. Kolkata Knight Riders put up the total of 222 runs that included 13 sixes.
