Chandigarh: After the election results in Haryana, no party has got an absolute majority, in such a situation both BJP and Congress are trying to form a government. But in this effort, BJP is seen to be ahead. BJP has won 40 seats out of the total 90 assembly seats in the state, so the BJP needs 6 more MLAs to reach magic figure 46.

Independent MLA Ranjit Singh Chautala has already announced his support for the BJP. Therefore, the party needs only five more MLAs to stake claim to form the government. Sources have been quoted as saying that out of 9 other MLAs, a total of 6 have declared their support for the BJP. In such a situation, after getting the support of these MLAs, Manohar Lal Khattar can take the oath of the post of CM of Haryana tomorrow i.e. on Saturday.

Let us tell you that the BJP has got 40 seats in the state, whereas the Congress has won only 31 seats. That Jananayak Janata Party (JJP) has won 10 seats, defeating everyone. It was being told that the Congress, along with JJP, would try to bring some independent MLAs into its fold and stake claim to form the government, but the BJP has succeeded in getting independent MLAs ahead of the Congress.
