Lucknow: Despite claims of all efforts made by the Yogi Adityanath government, the death toll in Firozabad is neither stopping nor slowing down due to the viral and dengue menace. The condition is that hospitals have found it difficult to get beds. Things have become so frightening that so far the death toll in official figures has reached 60.

Firozabad Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dinesh Kumar Premi has said that 60 deaths have been reported so far, out of which 5 have died of dengue, while others have died of fever and continuous death audits are underway. According to official data, a total of 458 patients were admitted to the hospital till the morning of September 15, and 207 new patients were admitted in the last 24 hours. There are 163 dengue patients alone. People from Firozabad are constantly being referred to Agra.

Apart from government hospitals, the situation in private hospitals remains alarming. Unity Hospital, one of the largest private hospitals in Firozabad, has a large number of patients. There is a crowd outside. People are seen crying, while others are running with their loved ones. The teenager's brother's health deteriorated and platelets started falling so he has now been referred to Agra from Unity Hospital. Kishore says there is no one to listen to in government hospitals and even in private hospitals, when treatment is not available, has to move Agra now.
