601 corona hospitals in India and more than one lakh isolation beds: Health ministry

New Delhi: Coronavirus outbreak is increasing continuously in the country and the world. So far, more than 1.7 million people have been infected in the world due to this global epidemic, while the death toll has also crossed 1 lakh. More than 5 lakh patients of coronavirus have been confirmed in the US alone. The number of coronavirus patients is also increasing rapidly in India. The total number of patients across the country has increased to 8356. The central and state governments are jointly waging war against the coronavirus.

In the daily update of the Union Health Ministry, Joint Secretary Love Aggarwal has told that till Sunday, 8356 cases have been found across the country, 909 new cases have been registered since Saturday, so far 273 people have died. A total of 716 people have been cured of the disease. He further said that India has made rapid preparations to avoid Corona. There are 601 Corona dedicated hospitals and more than 1 lakh isolation beds and 11,500 ICU beds in the country.

Love Agarwal further said that, till March 29, we had 979 positive cases, now it has increased to a total of 8356. Of these, 20 per cent cases require ICU support. On the other hand, 1671 patients need oxygen support and critical care treatment. This data is necessary to know that the government is planning things in preparation.
