An open letter was recently written to PM Narendra Modi by 49 celebrities from Bollywood to Tollywood demanding that the PM should take stringent steps to stop the crime in the name of Bhagwan Ram in the country and now the issue has taken a new turn.

In response, a total of 61 celebrities, including Kangana Ranaut, Prasoon Joshi, Sonal Mansingh and Madhur Bhandarkar, have written an open letter against 49 personalities, stating that 49 people have defamed democracy. Their false accusations have discredited democracy.

"Some people are misusing their power and office to create false narratives, which are being misinterpreted under the present government, while for the first time in this nation things are going in the right direction and we are also a part of a major change," Kangana said. "Things are changing for the betterment of this country and some people are angry about it. The people who defy their will are not respected or considered for democracy," she said.
