Katni: The negligence of the electricity department has come to the fore once again in Madhya Pradesh. Now this negligence has become a matter of concern for the public. Every day there is a disturbance in the electricity department regarding the electricity bill, due to which the public is suffering. Amidst all this, a shocking case has come to light from Katni. Here the electricity department has given a bill of 62,000 to a consumer. Yes, and the consumer claims that every month he pays his electricity bill on time. Along with this, their electricity cost remains up to 100 units per month. In fact, this case is being told of Katni district.

Here the electricity department handed over the electricity bill of Rs.62,000 to the consumer and after seeing the electricity bill of Rs.62,000, the consumer lost his senses. Ever since he got the bill, he is constantly making rounds of the electricity department, although no hearing is being done by the officials in the matter. In this case, the name of the consumer is Roopchand Soni. He said, 'Three years ago my electricity meter got damaged, so the electricity department changed my meters. Since then I have been continuously paying the electricity bill on time. The electricity bill has not reached more than 100 units in any month. Whereas now in the month of August, the electricity department has handed over a bill of Rs.62,000 to me.'

He further told that when he complained to the electricity department, the bill has been reduced to Rs 37 thousand but now no officer is ready to listen to his complaint. On the other hand, the news is that the electricity department has given assurance of investigation in further action.
