Yesterday was a big day for South superstar Rajinikanth and actor Dhanush. In fact, while Rajinikanth received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award the previous day, Dhanush won the National Award for Best Actor for the film Asuran. The day was the most special for the Thalaiva family. You must be aware that Dhanush is the son-in-law of superstar Rajinikanth and both the actors are in the hearts of fans. Sharing this picture, Dhanush wrote, "It was a golden moment for me to win the National Award for Best Actor on the same stage where my Thalaiva won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which cannot be expressed. Thank you very much to the National Award jury for giving me this honour.'' Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth on the other hand has also shared a picture with the two superstars and expressed happiness. "Both of them are my own and this is history," she wrote in the caption.
Earlier, Rajinikanth had said, "I thank the Government of India very much for honouring me with this award. I have given this award to my guru. I dedicate Balchander, my brother Satyanarayan Rao and my transport driver friend Raj Bahadur.'' Let me also tell you that late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's 'Chhichhore' has won the Best Film award. With this, actors Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush have won the Best Actor award. Actress Kangana Ranaut has won the Best Actress award.
