Lucknow: A case of molestation of a 7-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya has come to light. The innocent was found lying in agony, covered in blood, near the Khaki Akhara, a few steps away from Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya. Due to the critical condition of the girl child, she has been referred to Lucknow. It is suspected that the girl was gang-raped.

According to the Kotwali police station of Ayodhya, the incident took place on Wednesday night. Not far from the spot is the house of the innocent on the road leading to Digambar Akhara. The Bhandara was held on Wednesday, some distance away from the girl's house. People from all over the locality had arrived. During this time, the accused took the girl to a nearby vacant place. Here she was raped. The accused had fled leaving the innocent in a blood-soaked state. The girl somehow came on the road dragging, and people saw the innocent in this situation and informed the police.

According to information, the rapists crossed the boundaries of savagery with the girl. The bloodied child was first taken to Shriram Hospital. She was referred to the district women's hospital from here but seeing the condition of the child, she was also referred to Lucknow from here. There is no trace of those who did this with the innocent so far. Police are investigating the case.
