Narsinghpur: After withdrawal of nominations from the candidates for the post of councilor in 8 urban bodies of Narsinghpur district under the Urban Body General Election 2022, the remaining 410 nomination papers have been found valid for the election. Out of these, nomination papers of 197 male and 213 female candidates were received for the election of councilor post. In 8 urban bodies of the district, 71 nomination papers have been withdrawn by the candidates for the post of councillors.
After withdrawal of nominations from the candidates, one candidate was elected unopposed for the post of councilor in Nagar Palika Parishad Gadarwara, one in Municipal Council, Saikheda and one in Municipal Council Salichowka (Babaikalan). In this way, three councilors were elected unopposed in three urban bodies of the district. After withdrawal of nominations from the candidates, 94 in Nagar Palika Parishad Narsinghpur, 71 in Gadarwara, 43 in Gotegaon and 40 in Kareli and 37 in Municipal Council Tendukheda, Chichli In 41, in Saikheda 43 and in Salichouka (Babaikalan) 41 remaining nomination papers were found valid.
For the post of councilor, 16 nomination papers have been withdrawn by the urban body in Narsinghpur, 12 in Gadarwara, 7 in Gotegaon, 9 in Kareli, 9 in Tendukheda, 3 in Chichli, 9 in Saikheda and 6 in Salichowka (Babaikalan). In this way, 71 nomination papers have been withdrawn by the candidates for the post of councilor in 8 urban bodies of the district.
