Ahmedabad: Cash worth Rs 75 lakh has been seized in Surat ahead of the Assembly elections in Gujarat. CCTV footage of the place where this cash was caught has also surfaced. In this, a person is seen running looking back. It is claimed that the person running away in the CCTV footage is none other than Congress leader BM Sandeep.

In fact, in view of the assembly elections, the police, returning officers, and static surveillance teams are constantly searching the vehicles. During this time, Rs 75 lakh cash was seized from an Innova car in the Mahidharpura area of Surat. The police arrested Uday Gurjar and Faiz Mohammad, who were present in the vehicle, but one person managed to escape, the same person is claimed to be BM Sandeep himself. The entire incident was recorded in a CCTV camera established there. According to the report, the Aadhaar card of BM Sandeep has also been recovered from the seized car. At present, the police are interrogating both the arrested accused. Surat police are talking about taking the investigation forward on the basis of eyewitnesses, CCTV footage, and mobile location.

BM Sandeep is a senior Congress leader. According to his bio written on Twitter, BM Sandeep is the national secretary of the Congress as well as co-incharge of Gujarat. It is said that he is very active in the Surat area. BM Sandeep has also put a picture of himself with Sonia Gandhi on his Twitter handle. At the same time, the connection of arrested person Uday Gurjar is coming out with the Rajasthan Congress. His photo with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan has also surfaced. This picture has been posted by Uday himself on social media.

At the same time, BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya posted the video of that CCTV on his Twitter handle. He has written in his tweet that, 'Congress's national secretary BM Sandeep had come to collect 75 lakhs from Angadiya, but ran away after seeing the police. This happened in Surat's Mahidharpur area but scenes of his cowardice were captured in CCTV cameras. He didn't follow Rahul Gandhi's "Daro Mat" mantra.'
