Aditya Kiran Ogale, a 7-year-old boy, was abducted and killed by a neighbour in Pune's Pimpri Chinchwad neighbourhood for a ransom of Rs 20 crore. Police apprehended the two suspects in 24 to 48 hours. The boy's body was discovered on the terrace of a derelict building in MIDC, a business district in Bhosari.
On the evening of September 8, the boy was taken, hostage. By nine o'clock at night, the family filed a police station report. The police launched an extensive search effort, and the crime branch team was also involved. The dead father received a WhatsApp message requesting 20 crores in ransom around 1 in the morning.
Manthan Bhosale (21 years old), the principal offender, and Aniket Samudra, his helper, were both taken into custody by police within 24 to 48 hours. They confessed to the murder and kidnapping while being questioned. Police in Bhosari discovered the body in a vacant building in an industrial area after gathering all the necessary information.
ACP Sanjay Shinde informed Mirror Now, "Boy was kidnapped at 7 pm. Police rushed to the spot and started the search. Based on a WhatsApp message, the user was detected. And during the investigation, it was revealed that the accused misused the original user's WhatsApp." He further added, "while kidnapping, they overpowered the boy and during a scuffle, they killed him."
Additionally, the police reported that Manthan and the deceased's father had a disagreement. Manthan's father had taken action to address the problem because the boy's behaviour was consistently disruptive or bad for society. Manthan's sense of rivalry began to emerge somewhere as a result of that argument. Additionally, the accused is allegedly an addict.
