Amritsar: On the shoulders of the police is the responsibility of protecting the public. But what will the public do if police start exploiting them and stealing their belongings? One such case has come to light from Moga district of Punjab. Where the crime of a constable spoiled the image of Khaki. A constable of police stationed there turned out to be a thief. Eight stolen bikes have also been recovered from whose possession.

The case is of Baghapurana, a town in Moga. Where the police raided and arrested a constable of his department along with his partner. DSP of Baghapurana said that the name of the accused is Gurbinder Singh alias Gora. He is posted as a constable in the Punjab Police. Currently, he was posted in the ARP team Faridkot.

The DSP has said that he is addicted to drugs. He was also mostly absent from his duty. On December 11, a case was registered against Constable Gurbinder Singh and his partner Gurpreet Singh Gopi under Section 379 of the IPC on charges of bike theft. After which the police arrested and arrested Gurpreet Singh Gopi, but Constable Gurbinder Singh has now been arrested.
