Last week, the market capitalization (M-cap) of eight of the top 10 companies of BSE Sensex increased by Rs 1,76,489.28 crore. During this time Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) was the most profitable. During the trading week ended on Friday, the market cap of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 1,08,213.62 crore to Rs 11,15,418.03 crore. RIL is the first company in the country whose market capitalization has crossed the Rs 11 lakh crore mark. The company's chairman Mukesh Ambani announced on Friday that Reliance Industries has become a completely debt-free company. After this, the shares of Reliance Industries saw a boom and the market capitalization of the company crossed Rs 11 lakh crore.
HDFC Bank's market position rose by Rs 27,788.22 crore to Rs 5,67,093.60 crore during the business week. At the same time, ICICI Bank's market capitalization increased by Rs 12,729.16 crore to Rs 2,35,648.10 crore during this period. HDFC's market valuation rose by Rs 8,110.36 crore to Rs 3,18,597.21 crore during the period. Bharti Airtel's M-cap increased by Rs 6,301.17 crore to Rs 3,11,757.83 crore in the business week ended on Friday. In the same period, Infosys' market position rose by Rs 5,771.09 crore to Rs 3,00,543.95 crore.
Apart from this, Kotak Mahindra Bank increased its market capitalization by Rs 4,442.42 crore to Rs 2,57,640.33 crore and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) grew by Rs 3,133.24 crore to Rs 7,68,131.91 crore. However, in the same period ITC's market valuation decreased by Rs 12,169.31 crore to Rs 2,26,299.98 crore. The market valuation of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) declined by Rs 3,277.62 crore to Rs 4,91,584.61 crore.
