Mumbai: The Yavatmal-Amravati road in Maharashtra is full of potholes these days. People couldn't understand whether there are potholes in the road or that the road is built in potholes. Eight thousand school students from 34 nearby schools also pass through this road every day. These students say that when we pass through this road, then it seems that we are going to the door of Yamraj. There is always a fear that we are not the next number in road accidents. Troubled by the daily problems, eight thousand schools of these schools have written emotional letters to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The students have demanded the minister to get this road repaired.
The Yavatmal-Amravati highway connecting the three states is currently being called the road of death. For the purpose of connecting the North and South Corridors, from Bhokarbardi village of Dhamani tehsil in Amravati district to Harisal, Simadoh, Paratwada, Amravati, Badnera, Nandgaon Khandeshwar, Ner, Yavatmal, Umri to Karanji of Pandavakwadha tehsil on the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh state. This was a proposed National Highway.
However, due to political indifference, this has not been completed so far. Disturbed by the day-to-day problems on the road, eight thousand schools studying in 34 schools of both districts have sent this letter to Nitin Gadkari at his office in Savarkar Nagar, Nagpur. In which these children have mentioned their problems. Children have asked Nitin Gadkari whether the next number is ours. The only thing in the mind of these students is the minister who can improve the face of the country's highways. He can solve our problems too. For this, the students have written a letter to Gadkari. Local social workers have tried a lot to involve the children in this campaign.
