New Delhi: Around 8,000 teachers working in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, who have not received their salaries for the last three months, have written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah about this. They also appealed to the court. General Secretary of the Municipal Teachers Association, Ramnivas Solanki stated that "Today we have also written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah seeking assistance, in which we have also informed him that all the teachers are working for 12 hours during this corona crisis. Teachers are not only distributing rations to the poor, but we are also helping migrant workers and treatment centres."

He said, "We have been at the forefront of this battle against the epidemic. The top court is also directing the payment of salaries of doctors and health workers, but they are ignoring the teachers, while the teachers are also corona warriors." The letter stated, "Teachers have not received the salaries of March, April and May, while the month of June is also coming to an end. The arrears of the Seventh Pay Commission have not been received for the last four years. No payment for the last 10 years has been done.

Teacher's recruitment bill has not been paid for the last five years. Medical bills have not been paid for many years. If a teacher or their family member undergoes treatment, they have to pay for the treatment. On June 15, CAT ordered that all teachers and pensioners of the North Corporation be paid three months' salary and pension within 15 days, and on 18 June also the High Court gave the Northern MCD the salary of all teachers within a week.
