New Delhi: The central government is taking various steps to end the cash crisis in the market. In this series, the government organized a loan fair in several districts of the country to overcome the lack of demand in the market. It was launched from 1 October. The Finance Ministry said that loans worth Rs 81,781 crore were distributed during the 9 days at the loan fair. According to the information given by the Financial Secretary, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a meeting with the heads of banks, which discussed how to boost the economy.

Also, the Finance Secretary said that Rs 34,342 crore has been provided to the new entrepreneurs. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has stated that banks have sufficient cash reserves. Apart from this, instructions are being given that small and big industries should get interest rebate on repayment of loans. According to the returns filed by the big industries in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the MSME sector owes Rs 40,000 crore. The Finance Minister said that all efforts are being made to ensure payment to MSMEs till Diwali. Due to lack of demand in the market, many companies have stopped production activities.
