Robert Strange, an 83-year-old weightlifter from California who resumed weightlifting after heart surgery and won a gold medal at the 2019 Masters World Championships, has been banned for the year. At the same time, Strange has also accepted a one-year doping ban after being found positive in doping.

According to reports, it has been learned that the US anti-doping agency said on Friday that Strange had consumed the banned hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (DHI) at the World Championships in August last year.
