Mumbai: Nine people from the same family on Monday committed suicide by consuming poison in Maharashtra's Sangli district. According to information, the incident took place in Mhaisal village under Nantagart in Miraj taluka. The self-sacrificing family is said to be of Dr. Manik Yalappa Vanmore. The reason for the family's suicide is yet to be revealed. In the initial investigation, the reason behind the incident is said to be financial constraints. It is said that due to financial constraints, the family was under stress and due to this, everyone drank poison together and committed suicide.  

Among those who committed suicide are Dr. Manik Yelappa Vanmore, Akkatai Onemore (Mother), Rekha Manik Vanore (Wife), Pratima Vanmore (Daughter), Aditya Vanmore (Son) and Popat Yelappa Onemore (Teacher), Archana Vanmore (Wife), Sangeeta Vanmore (Daughter), Shubham Vanmore (Son). The incident created a sensation in the Mhaisal area. Whoever got the information left for the spot.  

A large crowd of police and people gathered at the spot. Police said post-mortem of the bodies is being conducted at mirza's government hospital. According to Superintendent of Police, Sangli district, Dikhit Gedam, three of the nine bodies were found at the same spot. Six other bodies were found in different parts of the house. Among the dead were four women and five men.
