The globe had just come out of the bloodiest battle the earth had ever seen. Man had yet to set foot on the Moon, which would take another two decades. India was still a British territory, and the notion of computer hard drives was foreign.

The year was 1946, automobiles – were substantially simpler than they are today. It was also the year that a young Bryan Webb inquired about job options at the Vauxhall headquarters in the United Kingdom. After more than seven decades of work - first as a mechanic, then as an administrator - Webb eventually left ways in 2021 and started retirement life.

Webb began as an apprentice before moving on to several management positions before settling in as a warranty administrator. After working as a mechanic in the 1950s, he was promoted to foreman. He stated that he was primarily responsible for workshop control and the maintenance of trucks and automobiles. Webb also mentioned how, in the early days, washing engines in the cold was a difficult task, but as time passed, automobiles evolved as well, and now, when one opens an engine, it is generally clean compared to the filth it once contained inside.

Webb also said that when he was 65, he committed to continue with the organisation for a few years, which developed into a 25-year commitment. According to reports, the 90-year-old technician stated he stayed working for so long because it kept him youthful. "I've always believed that working keeps you youthful. Working keeps you going; it motivates you to get up in the morning "According to reports, he stated.

Despite the fact that Webb will miss his job, he is looking forward to his afternoon cup of tea and nap. As a leaving present, his coworkers gave him a ceremonial spanner. Julian Bawdon, the local branch director, allegedly stated that when Webb asked how long he could remain, he replied that as long as he can perform the job, he may stay. Referring to the nonagenarian's personality as bright as a button, the director said that he will be missed.
