KOLKATA: Coronavirus has caused panic in the whole country, but with this influenza has caused havoc in West Bengal. More than 92,000 influenza and 870 respiratory disease patients have been reported in Bengal. On giving information about this, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that these cases could be an early warning sign in view of Covid-19, so all people should be cautious.

CM Mamata Banerjee said that investigation has been going on from house to house for more than a month. In which cases of severe respiratory illness (SARI) and influenza are being identified. On giving information, CM Mamata Banerjee said that between April 7 and May 3, more than 5.57 crore houses have been investigated. During this period 872 people suffering from SARI and 91,515 patients with influenza have been found. Out of which 375 people have been admitted to various health centers of the state. There are more than 1200 patients of Covid-19 here.
