95-year-old Queen Elizabeth tests covid-19 positive, PM Modi wishes for a speedy recovery

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday wished Britain's Queen Elizabeth II a speedy recovery after she was found corona positive, a statement issued by Buckingham Palace on Sunday said that Queen Elizabeth II has minor symptoms like cold and flu. Elizabeth II, 95, is at her Windsor Castle residence.

 

 

In a tweet, PM Modi wrote, "I wish Queen Elizabeth a speedy recovery and pray for her good health." A Buckingham Palace statement said that Queen Elizabeth's treatment will continue and she will follow all necessary guidelines. It is worth mentioning that anyone found to be infected with coronavirus in England has to stay in isolation for 10 days under the existing guidelines.

The Queen's son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were also found to be infected with the coronavirus earlier this month. The royal doctors and the queen's doctors have been tasked with looking after her health. She received her first vaccine in January 2021. According to reports, several people have been found corona positive at Windsor Castle, the Queen's royal residence in Berkshire in southeastern England, where they have spent most of their time during the pandemic.
