Assembly elections are to be held in Chhattisgarh a few months later and there is a fight between the Congress and the BJP. Congress is struggling to eliminate the exile of its 15-year rule in the state, while Raman Singh is in the effort to win the state's political bet for the fourth time. In such a way, before the assembly elections, President Ramnath Hovind's visit to Bastar in Chhattisgarh has also become a reason for the political allegation.
President Ramnath Kovind has made a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh. President Ramnath Kovind reached in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region, standing first in the list of Naxal-affected states of the country. This is the first time that a President spent the night at Chitrakoot, located at Jagdalpur in Bastar. Although the President had this second tour of the state in six months.
On Bastar tour of Kovind, Chhattisgarh Congress Executive President Shiv Kumar Dahria told that the government in Chhattisgarh is scared. Especially in the Bastar region, BJP is going to be wiped out. In this way, BJP has joined the hand with people sitting in constitutional posts. But it will not benefit from it.
Elections to Chhattisgarh will be held soon. BJP, which is considered to be the key to the power of the state, was seen weak in the last elections in Bihar. While the Bastar area is considered to be the strong form of the Congress. There are 12 assembly seats in Bastar, of which BJP has only 4 seats while the Congress has 8 seats.
In Chhattisgarh, 31.8 per cent of the voters belong to the tribal community and 11.6 per cent of the voters are Dalits. Together, there is 43.4 per cent of the votes in the two communities, which are enough to bring any party to power. In the last few months, the tribals and the Dalit community have expressed their displeasure while opposing the Raman government policies from different forums.
President Ramnath Kovind, in November last year, was the leader of the Satnam Panth and the great social reformer Saint Guru Baba Ghasidas had visited the Tapo Bhumi. After 8 months, they have now reached the state's tribal belt in Bastar. Congress seems to be well-off in these rounds of President.
