Mumbai Police has confirmed that a model named Kritika Chaudhary who was found dead in her apartment is murdered.

Police has filed an FIR against an unknown person. "Police have received the post-mortem report some time back and after going through it, we have filed an offense of murder," the deputy commissioner said.

"Initially, the Amboli police had registered a case of accidental death in this connection. Now, an offense of murder against an unidentified person has been registered and the probe is on," an another officer also said.

Earlier, the police told to a daily, "At this stage, one cannot say for certain if the woman was murdered or she committed suicide. However, based on the decomposed nature of the body, it seems she died 2-3 days back."
