If the sources are to be trusted, Dr. Manmohan Singh the Former Prime is not going to attend  Saifuddin Soz's book launch Scheduled on Monday. The reason is still being speculated. Nothing has been made clear till now.
Saifuddin has been strongly criticised by the Opposition party for his recent statements which tried to support the erstwhile president of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf's take on Kashmir.
In his  upcoming book 'Kashmir: Glimpses of History and the Story of Struggle', Soz had affirmed that Musharraf's take on Kashmir "seems to be correct even today."
In an alleged interview, Soz, as quoted by ANI asserted, "Musharraf said Kashmiris don't want to merge with Pakistan, their first choice is independence. The statement was true then and remains true now also. I say the same but I know that it is not possible."
Saifuddin Soz's book has been scheduled to release today.

Soz is a native of Jammu and Kashmir and has been a Professor by profession.

He joined the Indian National Congress in the year 2006.

According to certain sources, it is being assumed that Congress is trying to avoid Saifuddin Soz's book launch.

They fear being dragged into negative controversies.
