Many actors of the Indian cinema are trying to complete the circle by trying every feat. Many of them have already made their debut as director, producer, singer or have chosen any other profession. After answering about her debut in directors world, newlywed Sonam Kapoor recently in an interview to Mid-Day revealed that she is working on her directorial project and while referring Swara as her first choice she said: “I have a couple of stories written for Swara. As colleagues, we interact a lot, and so, it’s easy for me to envision her in different roles. I am sure whenever the project rolls, it will turn out to be an amazing association. There are so many actors who leave me awestruck with their talents."
Swara and Sonam are quite close to each other as they have followed up each other in many projects like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Raanjhna and now Veerey Di Wedding. We all have seen Swara’s talent in her different roles. While praising her friend Swara also said: “Sonam will make for a great director as she has some amazing ideas, besides having a great vision. I am looking forward to the day when she starts the project. She is one of my favourite people in the world. We have a great working relationship.”
In January, Sonam about her career as director stated that “I do want to direct, but fortunately, I keep getting a lot of work. I have four releases this year. Whenever I do get time to breathe, I will start working on the subject”. Further, she added “Currently, it’s difficult to give up such good work and take a decision. I would need to take a year off. So it’s a huge sacrifice, and I love acting; it’s my passion. I would love to work with Alia (Bhatt), Swara (Bhaskar) and Bebo (Kareena Kapoor Khan).”
The actor is going to led other actors as a director, let's see what magic will her directorial debut create on Box-office. While getting an appraisal from many famous masters Sonam Kapoor self-appraise her and said "Be it Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aanand L Rai..R Balki...any director....I work with has told me 'Please direct'"
