The controversy over the appointment of KM Joseph as the judge of the Supreme Court is on fire. Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal has commented against the post of Justice KM Joseph. He also targeted the government for this. He also said that today is the black day in the history of the court. He said that the judiciary needs to search for a better option.

Many judges of the Supreme Court are unhappy with the Central Government's decision of Justice Joseph's seniority, along with some members of the Supreme Court Collegium. At the same time, Justice KM Joseph will take an oath on Tuesday as a judge of the Supreme Court.

On the controversy arising out of reducing the preference of Justice KM Joseph in the Supreme Court, the government has said that the decision has been taken on the basis of the principle of preference of High Court judges. Therefore, according to the order given by Justice Joseph, Indira Banerjee and Vineet Saran, the schedule for the prescribed schedule and notification of the final decision will be done on Tuesday itself.

Earlier on Monday, a number of judges, including Justice MB B Lokur, AK Sikri and Kurian Joseph, members of the Collegium, expressed concern about the order of seniority before the CJI Deepak Mishra. Except Justice Ranjan Gogoi, the rest of the collegium members opposed the decision of the center to reduce Justice Joseph from CJI during tea time. CJI also assured him that he would take up the matter.

Sources say that there is no longer time left in the oath-taking ceremony program. Nothing much can be done in such a way. During the zero hour in the Lok Sabha on Monday, the Congress MP Venugopal surrounded the government without the taking the name of Justice Joseph.
