"Harry Potter" fame Emma Watson supports Kathua rape case lawyer

NEW DELHI: J.K. Rolling plotted "Harry Potter" fame Emma Watson has showed her support to Deepika Singh Rajawat,  who the lawyer representing the family of the Kathua rape victim girl.

The 8 year old minor was raped and murdered in Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir."All power to Deepika Singh Rajawat," tweeted Emma Watson while acted in response to a photo article on the lawyer.

 Earlier Deepika Singh Rajawat had claimed that she received death threats, including lawyers from the Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association, for fighting the case.

The rape and murder of the minor girl from the Bakarwal tribe of Jammu and Kashmir had erupted extensive anger in the country.

The Supreme Court had issued the order to the Jammu and Kashmir government to provide security to the family of the Kathua gangrape and murder victim as well as their lawyer and a family friend who are helping them in prosecuting the case.

According to the sources Rajawat, who is the lawyer for the victim's family in trial court, has lodged a petition on her own name seeking protection as she was receiving continually threats for representing the affected family.

Later, the father of the victim filed the petition and another petition was also lodged by the Delhi-based advocate seeking a CBI investigation into the case.
