High Court orders blocking of 12,000 websites to prevent piracy of the film

One of most awaited movie 2.O which stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has released today at the box office and the film is getting an amazing response. As the film releases today, the Madras High Court has ordered to block over 12,000 websites to save the movie form getting leak online. The makers of the film have made sure that no piracy is involved with the release of their big budget film 2.0. A total of 37 internet service providers to block over 12,000 websites to save the film from piracy. The list includes ‘TamilRockers’, which is one of the huge websites involved in piracy

According to latest reports, Lyca’s counsel Vijayan Subramanian produced an extensive list of 12,564 illegal websites and made sure that immediate and strong action is taken in order to prevent the film being leaked online.

S Shankar Directorial 2.0 has released in five languages including in countries like China and Pakistan. Lyca Productions has all exploitation and distribution rights including theatrical and music.

In the film, Rajinikanth plays a scientist and a robot. 2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) which also featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
