Recently, celebrities like Katy Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Wahlberg and several more, helped a child suffering from a deadly disease Sanfilippo syndrome, more popularly known as the Childhood syndrome, by arranging an amount of USD 1 million.
Reports suggest that a family of 4 members launched a Gofundme Page, which included a testimonial regarding their son, Carter who was 6 years old and was suffering from a fatal disease.
The page featured video that showcased the family's problems that they have been facing and the only chance left with them to save Carter.
Carter's mother on July 5, mailed informing that the target of gathering USD 1 million was accomplished.
The way that public reacted to the page was extremely delighting for the fact that various Hollywood Celebrities had appealed their fans to help the child and also contributed themselves to aid the collection. They were finally successful in gathering $1,001,330 million for Carter's treatment and medication
Carter's mother exclaimed that they always believed that it takes a village to raise a child. She also added that after the incident, the family would consider everyone a part of Carter's village.
She also expressed her gratitude to every person who helped Carter to gain another chance at life.
