Sonam Kapoor is all set to marry Delhi-based Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. Though Sonam has never accepted her relationship with Anand as per the rumours the couple has been together for quite a few years.
Recently, the families of both have released an official statement, which read, “From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
Meanwhile, according to the reports released in Pinkvilla, the duo was introduced to each other by mutual friend Pernia Qureshi in 2014. Pernia Qureshi was styling Sonam Kapoor at that time and was also close one of Anand Ahuja. As per the reports, Anand proposed Sanam within a month of being introduced. They both have been together ever since.
After which, Sonam and Anand’s first public appearance was in 2016 at Akshay Kumar’s bash in honor of Will Smith. In the same year, Anand was seen holding hands with Sonam Kapoor at her cousin Akshay Marwah’s Roka ceremony. The following year, Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor celebrated mom Sunita Kapoor’s birthday in London where Anand Ahuja joined the family on the trip and posed for a photo with the Kapoor family.
