Today Rishabh Pant debuted at Guwahati ODI playing between India and Westendies. He created a record on his ODI debut against the Caribbean team on Sunday as he became the second-youngest player for India to play in all formats of the game. Ishant Sharma is the first youngest player to play all the formats at the age of 19 years and 152 days. Rishabh is now 21 years and 17 days, placed second on the list.
Rishabh debuted in the three-match T20I series against England in 2017 for the third on February 1. Worth mention here A member of the team that travelled to West Indies after ICC Champions Trophy, Rishabh wasn’t handed his ODI cap there but he played only T20I.
After his recent performance test matches he was called to the ODI team for the second time in his career. Today he was handed his debut right in the first ODI of the series by captain cool fame MS Dhoni.
Meanwhile, Virat kohali won the toss and decided to bowl first in the first ODI of the series in Guwahati. The visiting side had two debutants in form of Oshane Thomas and Chandrapaul Hemraj. The host side surprisingly, did not give a chance to Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI.
