Irrfan Khan posted last week as disclosing that he has been suffering from a ‘rare disease’ had left the entire of Bollywood and his fans in painstaking shock. The ‘Hindi Medium’ actor, however, had promised to share more information after a ‘conclusive diagnosis’. The actor today took his official Twitter handle to make public that he has been suffering from ‘neuroendocrine tumour’.

The actor posted that he has been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and although it has been complicated, the love and support of those around him had brought him strength.

The actor also clarified in the post that opposing to the rumors that were floating around, ‘NEURO’ is not always about the brain and that goggling this is not always the easiest means to delve into.

At the end of the post he writes, “To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”

Last week, Irrfan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar in a Facebook urged fans of the actor to exhortation from speculating about his disease and posted, “I am at present focused in the strategies of the battlefield which I have to conquer. It wasn’t and isn’t going to be easy but the hope ignited by the magnitude of family, friends and fans of Irrfan has made me only optimistic and almost sure of the victory,” she posted.
