JDS Kumaraswamy swear-in as 'The all-new 24th Karnataka CM'

On Wednesday, Karnataka has welcomed its new CM as Janata Dal (Secular)'s leader H.D. Kumaraswamy. Kumaraswamy has swear-in as a 24th Chief Minister of Karnataka. The ceremony took place at the Grand Steps of Vidhana Soudha, at 4:30 p.m.

According to the reports, along with Kumaraswamy, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President G. Parameshwara also swear-in as the Deputy Chief Minister.

Worth mentioning here is that the RSS representative and former cabinet minister during Modi-CM ship in Gujarat and presently a Governer Vajubhai Vala had administered the oath of office and oath of secrecy to the Chief Minister Designate Kumaraswamy. 

During an interview, while coming to witness the oath-ceremony Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu&WB CM Mamata Banerjee in Bengaluru said that they have come here to witness swearing in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy and expressed our solidarity to the new CM. In future, they will be working together to protect & promote the national interest. They included that they are here to strengthen all regional parties.

Congress leader DK Shivakumar also said that no one is unhappy and he said with a wide smile on his face that we all are together. "We are celebrating that our government is coming in power. I never said that I'm an aspirant of Karnataka Chief Minister post. All is well." says Shivakumar.

Apart from these well known lawmakers the confirmed attendees at the swearing-in are United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan, Samajwadi Party chief, Akhilesh Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and son of former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad, Tejaswi Yadav .

Other prominent guests include the founder of Rashtriya Lok Dal, Ajit Singh (who is also an ex-Union Minister), Tamil icon and founder of Makkal Needhi Mariam, Kamal Haasan. Worth mention here it is not simply an oath-taking ceremony but homework from the side of opposition to overthrow saffron BJP.
