Jharkhand wins over Vidarbha, reaches semi-final

It was Dhoni's finish it off at the end.

The crowd was expecting something miraculous standing in the hot sun, as the match ended in the Jharkhand's victory as Vidarbha losing at the Palam ground on Wednesday in the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarter-finals.

Ravi Jangid’s 62 (87b, 8x4, 1x6) provided substance to Vidarbha’s challenge. Ganesh Satish (35) and Rajneesh Gurbani (22) were the other batsmen who ensured the fans could wait and hope to catch a glimpse of Dhoni.

Pratyush Singh (33) and Ishan Kishan(35) gave Jharkhand a boost and when they departed, the crowd started cheering along with the Vidarbha team, to bring Dhoni to the field.

Kumar Deobrat and Saurabh Tiwary went to pavilion after getting 17 each, giving way to dhoni, requiring 44 from 15 overs.

Dhoni was playful and was going for singles, doubles and the odd ones, giving Ishank Jaggi strike.

When Satish came at the bowling end, Dhoni was playing at 12 off 26 balls and launched a lofty six to bring the show to end.
