Karunanidhi's body kept at Rajaji hall in Chennai for homage

 M Karunanidhi, the erstwhile Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and also the leader of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) passed away on the 7th of August, 2018. On Wednesday, his dead body has been kept at the Rajaji Hall in Anna Sala, Chennai. 
His corpse was wrapped in our national flag Tiranga. His body has been placed at the Rajaji hall for the public to visit him and pay homage.

 Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and O Panneerselvam, the  Deputy Chief Minister of the state have visited the Rajaji hall to pay homage to the former Chief Minister of the state.


 T. T. V. Dhinakaran, the erstwhile leader of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) the very popular South Superstar Rajinikanth also visited the place where his dead body has been laid.


Before bringing his corpse to the Rajaji hall, it was placed his house in Gopalapuram, it was then taken to Kanimozhi's house, who is his daughter. His daughter lives in CIT Colony.


Karunanidhi was 94-years-old and was one of the most loved politicians of the state.

The former Chief Minister shall be taken for his funeral on Wednesday.

After the death of the erstwhile chief minister of Tamil Nadu, various political leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and many others expressed their sorrow on his demise.
