Running coalition government in Karnataka is becoming a burden for HD Kumaraswamy. The Chief Minister, under pressure from the public's expectations, became emotional in a program held in his honour in Bangalore on Saturday. He said that he is not happy after sitting in the CM's chair.

Kumaraswamy said, "I am drinking poison like Bhagwan Vishwanath (Nilkanth). You all will be happy to become my CM, but I am not happy." Kumaraswamy was speaking at a function organized after the debt waiver of the farmers. He said, "It is right that before the election, I wanted to become the Chief Minister of this state and made many promises from the people. People are happy now, but I am not."

Kumaraswamy said, "If I want, I can quit my post anytime. Wherever I go, people welcome me and say that they are happy with the debt forgiveness of the farmers. But I am sorry that those people did not vote so much that my party got a majority. No state wants to forgive the farmers' debt. The opposition is ready to target, but the government has fulfilled its promise and waived the debt of the farmers."

It is noteworthy that Kumaraswamy gave the first budget of the Congress-JDS coalition government in the state and waived loans of Rs 34 thousand crore for farmers. However, with the debt waiver, the government has laid down certain conditions under which loans of farmers will be waived up to Rs 2 lakh.

The immediate reason for this emotional speech of the Chief Minister is being considered as the effect of social media post. In fact, a boy from Kodagu had posted a video in which the road of his village was swept away. He said that the Chief Minister is not worried about it.

Kumaraswamy said, "No one knows how much junketry I have to do to persuade the officers for the debt waiver. Now I want to give 7 kg instead of 5 kg of rice in 'Anna Bhagya Yojna'. Where do I get 2500 crore rupees for this? I am getting criticized for taxing. Despite all this, the media is saying that there is no clarity in my debt forgiveness plan."
