Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will get more than 300 seats in the next general elections. He addressed UK-India Leadership Conference on Friday through video from Delhi.
On a question regarding the general elections next year, Goyal said, "On the basis of our achievements, I am confident that in the 2019 general elections BJP will get more than 300 seats." He said that the ruling BJP government at the Center has made an honest and transparent system to make the country ready for the future. It is worth mentioning that Goyal is also a Railway and Coal Minister. He said that it is not impossible for India to achieve the economic growth rate of the tenth digit.
Recently, the BJP and the Modi government, like always, took a tough decision and broke the alliance with the PDP and again gave a surprise to everyone. It was believed that the BJP could take some big and bold steps in the last few days after the continuous growing violence in the valley. Now the security agencies will be involved in the elimination of terrorists with double power.
After the breaking up of the BJP-PDP alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, the political turmoil has emerged. Now, while less than one year is left for the 2019 Lok Sabha election, it is believed that Amit Shah, BJP strategist, has taken this step after a lot of thinking and planning.
