 Ajinkya Rahane is one of the important part of the Indian cricket team. Jinx that's what his teammates call him, Jinx is a leading batsman of Indian cricket team. We only knew him as an Indian cricketer but there is more to know about him.

  • Rahane was born on 6th June 1988. He was born and brought up in Mumbai dombivli. His father used to work for Mumbai’s transportation company while his mother is a housewife.
  • He is known for his electrifying fielding and technically solid batting. But he is not only a cricketer but also a black belt in Karate.

  • During the start of his career, he can't afford to take training in cricket. His father used to take him to a small cricket coaching.
  • Ajinkya proved himself when he got selected to play for Ranji Trophy. He scored 1098 runs in that season.
  • The boy from dombivli made his international debut for India in a twenty20 international against England in August 2011.
  • In may 2016 the BCCI recommended him for Arjun Award.

 Here are some of the achievements of Ajinkya

  • 5th Indian Batsman to score centuries in each innings of a Test
  • On 15 August 2015, he broke the record of most catches in a test match. Jinx took 8 catches in the first test against Sri Lanka at Galle
  • First batsman to hit six fours in an over in IPL (against S Arvind, RCB)
  • Joint-record with 5 other players for the highest number of catches in a T20 match
  • M A Chidambaram Trophy for best Under-19 cricketer: 2006–07
  • CEAT Indian Cricketer of the Year: 2014–15

Ajinkya married to his childhood friend Radhika Dhopavkar in 2014. Jinx is turning 30 on this coming 6th June. We wish this sparkling batsman a very happy birthday in advance. We hope that he takes his legacy further.
