'Rapistan' tweet row: IAS topper Shah Faesal says, 'I see my daughter in every rape victim'

New Delhi: After receiving government's anger for a "sarcastic" tweet in opposition to the rape culture in South Asia, 2010 IAS topper from Jammu and Kashmir Shah Faesal  said to a media publication that he wish to do something about the sufferers.

In his press talk He told that every time a rape is reported he sees his "sister or daughter in that victim".

On Tuesday, Faesal shared a picture of the letter from his boss and termed it a “love letter” from him, where he was questioned to explain his tweet. Faesal is at present at Harvard University for a fellowship. In the letter, the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government called for a Departmental Action against him. The letter stated that "a number of references have been made" by Faesal on his Twitter account, "in which content is a prima face in breaking of the extant provision of All India Services (Conduct Rules)".

He told the leading news paper Tribune that he is not worried about losing his job as he does not think he “will remain jobless in this great world of possibilities”.

He said what he thinks is more dear to him than anything else. He gave clarification that he was not condemning the system and also explained why it stunned everyone when he opened his mouth. He stated that bureaucrats are “anonymous and opinionless”, however, he asserted the times are changing. “Old order is under challenge,” he asserted to The Tribune.
