Anubhav Sinha’s movie Mulk starring Rishi Kapoor and Tapsi Pannu release date is temporarily stalled. Earlier this film was scheduled to release on August 3, 2018. Vandana Punwani filed the application against Benaras Media Works Limited production company of Anubhav Sinha for property rent dues dispute.

According to the application of Vandana Punwani, the Benaras Media works took her bungalow on rent to build the office in 2011 but the team did not get the permission from civic body to convert the residential palace into an office. Vandana mentioned that they refused to pay for the rent as they did not get permission. In 2016, She approached Dindoshi sessions to get the rent which is around 50 lakh rupees. She filed an application earlier this July appealing court to hamper the film release.

In repose to the accusation of Vandana, Abhinav Sinha’s lawyer Vibhav Krishna said that Vandana has made the false charges that the Benaras Media works have a link with Mulk director Anubhav Sinha. The lawyer further added that they yet to receive the order of the court staying the release.
The director said that f someone has mischievously misled the court and if the court has really passed such an order they shall move a petition to vacate the same.
