After claiming Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not a ‘real’ Hindu, leading Congress head Kapil Sibal on Wednesday trained a gun at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the heated discussion of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Act in response to the hullabaloo over his statement in Supreme Court that the judgment in the Babri-Ram Janmabhoomi case should be postponed till after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sibal asserteed that the temple in Ayodhya “will be constructed only when Rama lord wants, and not when PM Modi wants it”.

"As far as Ram Mandir is alarmed (Modiji), it will be constructed when Lord Ram wants it to be built,” quoted Sibal.

"We believe in the Lord, we don't believe in you (Modiji). You are not going to build that temple...If you think that you are, and then you are mistaken...

"It's when God wants it. When Lord Ram wants it the temple will be built wherever, whenever. And that the court will make a decision," Sibal lauded.

Earlier reports had stated that Sibal represented Sunni Waqf Board in the Apex Court and had begged that the decision be postponed till the results of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were affirmed. He, on the other hand, later shed light on that he did not stand for the board in the top court.
