Sleep Walking is a phenomenon which is more commonly found in children than in adults. People tend to walk in sleep and even end up accomplishing tasks like cooking and driving.

Stress, sleep deprivation, excessive or frequent alcohol and caffiene consumption are some of the prominent reasons that lead to Sleepwalking.

Our body, basically synthesises two types of chemicals: one, when you are sleeping and others, while you are awake. The chemicals secreted during sleepm but our body to, while those secreted when you are awake, activate your body.

When there is an equilibrium maintained between the two types of chemicals, our body follows a normal sleep-wake cycle, while in a condition of disturbance, body tends to suffer an imbalance in the regular processes.

Sleepwalking is related to that phase of your sleep, when you are in an NREM (non rapid eye movement) state of mind. We do not tend to remember anytrhing about our experience of Sleepwalking due to the fact that the NREM is not connected to the part of our brain that conducts memory.

If you witness any cases of Sleepwalking, you must first try to destress yourself and if it does not work, consut a neurologist immeadiately.
