Brad Henry once said "A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning."

Every religion that you would choose to study, places a teacher at a position next to the Almighty.

History is evident for the fact that, every successful man who sought wisdom, achieved it under the guidance of his teacher.

Let us take a look on some of the admirable Guru- Shishya duos that still continue to inspire the world.

1.Dronacharya-Eklavya:

Eklavya’s dedication towards his passion of Archery and his devotion towards his Guru, Dronacharya was really inspiring. Similarly, Dronacharya’s efforts to keep the promise he once made to his favorite pupil, Arjun, is again a story, we all need to learn a lot from.

2. Krishna-Arjun:

Krishna proved to be the savior for Arjun, when he needed him the most. In the battle-ground of Mahabharat, when Parth (the way Krishna referred to Arjun) was stuck in a dilemma, whether to fight against his family or not, Krishna guided him to wisdom and encouraged him to pick up his weapons for the protection of ‘Dharma’.

3.Vivekananda-Ramkrishna Paramhansa:

Swami Vivekananda is counted amongst the most influencing scholars of the world. Vivekananda always referred to his Guru, Shri Paramhansa as the source for all his wisdom.
