US healthcare Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has once again come under the scanner after Rajasthan’s drug controller found that it's baby shampoo samples were not of standard quality. The samples tested were found containing harmful substances, said the drug controller. The Rajasthan Drug Control Organization has sent a notice to the company after the test.

According to the reports, The Rajasthan Drug Control Organization issued a notice on March 5. In the notice, they stated that the sample of the baby shampoo with September 2021 expiry date has failed in the quality check. The harmful substances have been found in them. These shampoos were made in the plant located in Himachal Pradesh. The notice indicated that the formaldehyde-related to the building construction material was found in these samples.

According to reports, formaldehyde has been identified as a carcinogen, which is a substance that promotes the formation of cancer in the body. But the company has refused to accept the outcome of the institution. They say that their products are safe and they released it after strict investigation procedure. According to the company, they do not mix formaldehyde in their shampoos, nor do they contain ingredients that will release formaldehyde in shampoo after some time.
